One model. Your words, your Mac, your call

Echo Flow polishes and rewrites locally on your Mac — no cloud, no account, no data leaves your machine. After a one-time setup, the same local model handles everyday polish and every rewrite action.

Trained on real dictation, not chat data

Most language models are trained on web text and chat. Echo Flow AI is fine-tuned on tens of thousands of voice-dictation transcript pairs, the kind of run-on, filler-heavy speech people actually dictate.

How Echo Flow picks the right engine

Echo Flow checks what your Mac supports and picks the right engine for you. You don't choose a model; you choose the level of polish, and Echo Flow handles the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Does Echo Flow AI run offline?
Echo Flow AI is downloaded once during setup, then it runs entirely on your Mac. After setup, it loads from local disk and never re-downloads.
Is anything uploaded to a server?
No. Transcripts and audio are processed on-device. Whatever provider handles them, Apple Intelligence or Echo Flow AI, runs locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to process your writing.
Can I switch providers?
Yes. Open Settings → Echo Flow AI and pick the provider any time. Echo Flow handles the setup and cleanup for you.
What if Echo Flow AI can't run on my Mac?
Echo Flow AI is disabled and polishing falls back to the rule-based safety net. The safety net ships with the app, no download needed, works on any Mac that runs Echo Flow.
How big is the Echo Flow AI download?
Echo Flow AI is a small one-time download, about 380 MB, that stays on your Mac. It does not re-download each time you dictate.
Is the model included in the DMG?
No. Echo Flow AI is downloaded on demand to keep the DMG small. The DMG is notarized and the download is over HTTPS.
